About Sam

I am an artist + designer with a mixed-media practice. I love to share my art and creativity skills, and can often be found teaching around town and working on creative projects. Most days you will find me working as an arts-administrator in arts education programming. I’m passionate about making the arts accessible and relevant to everyone.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Critical & Cultural Practice from Emily Carr University of Art + Design with a minor in Social Practice & Community Engagement. I love working with people and working in the arts. I work in cultural arts organizations to magnetize and proliferate understanding of the arts through continuing education, arts programming, public engagement and more.

When I’m not being inspired by the grandeur of Canada’s National Parks, you will find me translating that inspiration into creativity. From fine arts, prints, & sculpture, to jewelry, text and community-based projects, I love to explore and create in many mediums. To see some of my art & design related work you can head over at smallcitizens.org, a website and service design project I’ve been accumulating for almost 10 years. I would love to work with you if it’s a good fit.
